I will be leaving sometime in August for Abu Dhabi (to teach), my husband and I really want to fly together or at least at the same time and not wait until i can sponsor him.The question is what is his next step? how does he go about getting a tourist visa or job seeking visa so He can go with me. He may also have a job opportunity there but it can only be confirmed once he is in Abu Dhabi. (We are from South Africa)

Hi there,

Technically, your husband cannot apply for a job while he is on a tourist visa. Even if he made contacts and got a job offer while on a tourist visa, it is not possible to transfer from a tourist visa to a work permit. He will need to return home and then go through the application process.

Use our Visas for Abu Dhabi page to find out more about the process.
