I am moving to Oman for a work assignment for about a year. Being an avid gamer, I would like to carry my Xbox 360 console and video games with me to Oman. Can somebody please guide me if it will be OK to bring these items to Oman? Will the customs officials allow me to bring items like electronic gadgets into Oman? My Xbox is about 3 years old and I have the invoice with me.

Hi Abhijeet,

I can't find any information saying that there is any restrictions on bringing electronic gadgets into Oman as long at they are for your personal use and not something you are hoping to sell there. Furthermore, the item is more than a year old, so you won't be charged any duty on it. You will also need to show your invoice.

As customs regulations change quite often, I would advise you to check official sites before making the trip to Oman.
