I have been offered a job by a company in Toronto, Canada and they are busy sorting out a work permit for me. Will my wife be allowed to work on my work permit, or will she need to apply for her own?

I would recommend you ask your company this, we are going through the same process and my wife will also get a permit to work.

Your spouse can definitely work in Canada, but they will need to apply for their own separate work permit. As mentioned, your employer can usually help with this, especially if they're dealing managaging your own permit application process.

Your wife can apply from within Canada or prior to arrival in Canada.
