There are many international schools in HK, take a look at the following website, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_schools_in_Hong_Kong#Preschools, YCIS and ESF are both popular preschools. Just go into their website and see the admission section, will tell you about the admission information. For accomdation, under 15K, you can consider living in village house, since they are bigger, usually around 650 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms, and with greenery surrounding. My mum has actually one in Shatin, looking for professionals to rent(long term). Take a look at this site: http://hongkong.craigslist.hk/apa/5065843101.html Just for your reference, you can look for other accomodations in the above site too.

Home location (availability school near your home location) is the most important given your situation and budget. It is easier to commute as an adult rather than a 5year old kid. Keep that in mind. Where will your office be? - As you are trying to find the optimal mix the 3 variables - Home location, Work Location and School location + Budgets. Previous post posted a list of schools in HK. Below is a list of property sites that you you check to know what price/size is available. http://www.gohome.com.hk/en/ http://www.squarefoot.com.hk/ http://hongkong.asiaxpat.com/property/ http://www1.centadata.com/ephome.aspx All these companies have specific strength at different locations or budgets. They are accurate though in their offerings. Good Luck. As i said the most important variable is your office location as you would ideally want to be 30 minutes commute from that location.

Hi: Welcome to Hong Kong!

To be honest, it's most likely that you won't get a place for Sept 2015 at this stage. What we'd suggest is to secure a K3 place (suitable for 5 year olds) and get prepared to submit applications in Sept 2015 for a Sept 2016 start.

Schools in HK are expensive too!
