Hey all, I'm moving to the Czech Republic in October and just getting all my paperwork in order. I'm planning on living in Prague and will be working as a freelance writer and editor. What type of work permit will I need?

Hi Smith

Whether you need a work permit in the Czech Republic depends on your nationality. If you are an EU citizen you will not need a work permit for the Czech Republic. However, because you will be working as a freelance writer you will need to apply for a business licence.

For more detailed information have a look at our Work permits for Czech Republic page.

I hope this information was helpful.
