Dear experts and expats, I have been offered a role by a US firm to look after SE Asia, self employed, and was hoping to base myself from (my future) home in KL. I have 10 years experience and a related degree in my field (electronics). I would imagine i need a D11 EP pass visa and wanted to enquire on your opinions on my chances of having that granted? For clarity i wont be employed by a malay company or does the US company have an office in Malaysia. Second question was about taxes. Will i be liable to pay Malaysian taxes? I plan to be based in malaysia full time with travel to the other SE Asia countries pretty frequently.. for sure will be in KL for more than 180 p/a. Thanks so much KL wannabee
