Holidays in Qatar 2012

Trying to plan a trip back home to the States this year, and was wondering if anyone can confirm official holidays in Qatar for 2012. I have a fair amount of leave left, but it would be great to save some to tack onto a long weekend here and there.

Have a look at our Public Holidays in Qatar page, it gives dates of the four (yip, there's only four) holidays recoginsed in Qatar, as well as explanations of what happens during each holiday. Unfortunately, as a Muslim nation, no time is allotted off for the western (Christian) holidays (ie. Xmas, Easter, etc.). Though, during Ramadan working hours are usually shortened considerably.
