Hi, I am going to london for a couple of weeks. I am a super tennis fanatic and I want to find a tennis partner. I wonder if anybody knows anybody else that is looking for a tennis partner or any clubs to suggest. Thanks

Most London parks have a tennis club, or free council run courts. If you are in South London, try the courts in Battersea park or the Clapham Common tennis courts. The Islington Tennis Centre in North London, has 8 courts, six of which are indoors. Regents Park has 12 floodlit courts. The Hyde Park Tennis Courts (situated to the south of the park on South Carriage Drive). In west London, there are courts in Ravenscourt Park, Turnham Green and at the Chiswick Tennis Centre

Most of these courts are run by Will to Win, a private company that works with schools and local authorities. Charges are around £8-14 per hour. (http://www.willtowin.co.uk/).

Another site worth viewing is Tennis Tonic! http://london.tennistonic.com/ or see their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/groups/89984852930/

There are also various private clubs, but you'll need membership, and sometimes there is a waiting list - Queens Club, the Park Club, Hogarth Club, and many others.

Check our www.openplay.co.uk. It helps you find and book courts too as well as find tennis partners. London focused too.

Worth having a look at http://www.openplay.co.uk/connect - quite new but you can also book some courts too.

Depend where you live. There are loads of courts available at little cost, and they are normally free - except there is a flurry of enthusiasm in July, just after Wimbledon, if the weather's good.
