We are moving to Melbourne from England.we are looking for a primary school for our 2 girls. Would anybody know what the expected fees to pay are?we do not have residency and our sponsorship visa doesn't cover education. Many thanks,Floriane

Hi Florianenic,

Each individual state sets the fees for public schools in Australia. So you will need to contact the education provider - I am sure the school will be able to advice.

What type of visa will you be on ? If it is a 457 visa, then government-sponsored schools will be free. Either way, fees will certainly be cheaper than a private or international school. You will however need to account for the cost of uniforms. school trips and equipment.
