Hello, I will be moving to KL for a job. I would like my boyfriend to come with me. Besides the 3 month visitor permit, any other advice on how he could get a work VISA so he could stay during the time I am there? I would be there for 3 years. Thanks! Wendy

Hi Wendy,

Your boyfriend will need to secure a job before applying for a Work Permit for Malaysia.

There are lots of different types of permit, which cover various fields of work. The process of applying for a work visa can be quite lengthy, so it is best if he can secure a job as soon as possible to begin the process.

For info on finding a job in Malaysia, please read the Working in Malaysia page.

Best of luck with the move.
