Hello,
I have been offered a job by an Indian IT Company for their client in Abu Dhabi (Govt. bank there).
I have been offered a package of 16000 dirham per month. I have my wife who is house-wife and would be moving along with me.
I am confused as whether this package is sufficient enough for Abu-Dhabi and whether I would be able to save anything with this package as I would require 1 BHK flat, transportation to office and other daily as well as family expenses.
About me, I am vegetarian, non smoker and non drinker.
Please guide me as how much I would be able to save there out of this monthly salary as my decision to move there depends on your guidance.

Public transport in Abu Dhabi is not brilliant, so most expats buy or hire a car. Hiring a car will cost at least AED 2,500 per month. The cost of groceries varies according to individual needs but if you buy local goods it shouldn't be too expensive. Furthermore, the fact that you don't drink will save you some money.
