I applied for an A-1 visa through the local Ministry of the Interior office in Be'er Sheva, Israel. I initially came on a tourist visa. I gave all the documentation I was told to give. Is there any way I can expedite this? How do I even check the status? I have been offered a job in Israel but can't be employed until my visa situation is worked out. Thanks!

Hi Adam,

Israel is known for having some serious bureaucratic backlogs, so it is hard to give you a timeframe for you.

It might be an idea to get hold of an immigration lawyer who can give you more information on the ground.
