Moving to Nairobi with my two young daughters and I have some concerns regarding healthcare. What are hospitals like in Nairobi and are there any that focus on children's health issues ? Do I need health insurance or do you think it will be cheaper just to pay when I use the service - I heard that even private health care in Nairobi is relativley cheap.
Would appreciate your comments.
Cheers,
Sally

While it is affordable to pay for private healthcare on a case by case basis without breaking the bank, it is still best to have health insurance to cover you in case something more serious. Always best to err on the side of caution.
Private healthcare options are very good in Nairobi and the Getrude Children's hospital specialised in children's health concerns.
