We are moving to Adelaide from the Netherlands and looking for a reliable international moving company with good pricing? If you were happy with yours, please let us know why and who you worked with! Thanks (:

Hello
I recently shipped a number of boxes from NL to Brisbane. I used a UK company called removal group.
They were not too bad. I packed everything myself though. They emailed me all necessary custom forms etc
And also offered £5000 liability insurance which was free.
They organise a local shipping company to picked up from the drive way.. After this
They will let you know the name of the local company where everything has been sent to.
They told me that it should arrive within 8-10 weeks but it didn't arrive until 12 weeks but that was ok for us.
We paid about £ 1000 somewhere about there it was little over. The Dutch companies we got quotes from were
Well over €1200, too much for the amount of things we were shipping.
Anyway I hope that helps

Hi Lily-

Did the international removals company you used to ship from the UK to Australia charge you according to container size, or do they quote you on weight? How does it work? Also, did you have to cover the cost yourself, or was it something you asked your company to pay for (if, in fact, you were moving to Australia under the auspices of a work contract).

Thanks!

Hello

The company charged per sqm. I was shipping baby gear and other personal items. I couldn't have filled a container!
Our move was not for work purposes therefore we paid the costs ourselves.

Hi, I'm from the Netherlands myself. I've been to a emigration exhibition in Houten in February and collected information from different moving companies. Maybe you can find more infromation on www.emigratiebeurs.nl also a great site is www.emigratieboek.nl , they have great books about moving to Australia.I have information about the following moving companies:

I never used these moving companies before. Last time the company arranged it for us. But number 1 en 2 are well known moving companies. The company SHELL is been using number 1 for years to help there employees to move around the county.

I hope this is helpfull for you. Just in case you are traveling with pets: ►THIS POST WAS SUBMITTED BY ANOTHER USER WHO ASKED ME TO PUBLISH FOR HER
