Tips for relocating to Shashi in Wuhan, China?

Wuhan is an awsome city. It’s close to the Yangtze river, which it the longest river in China, and have many scenery spots. Yellow Crane Tower is worth a visit, It’s the one of the most famous acient tower in China. And the Three Gorges Tour is awsome too. Wuhan peopke like spicy food, you’d better get used to it. Hey, Unless I am mistaken Shashi isn't actually in Wuhan. Wuhan is the capital city of Hubei Province, but Shashi is the main urban area of Jingzhou, a smaller city to the west of Wuhan. As I understand it, Shashi is less than an hour away from Wuhan by train and probably around two hours drive. You can expect the summers to be hot and humid (30-40 degrees Celsius everyday from May to October). There will be heavy rain and probable flooding around June and July. The winters will be cold, but not severely so (5-15 degrees Celsius fro November to March). The winters will be dry with little if any snowfall at sea level. A city as large as Jingzhou will have a large number of familiar western brands and no shortage of capable English speakers that will probably be willing to help you. Given the distance from the major economic hubs, the cost of living with be relatively low, particularly when it comes to supermarkets, local restaurants, public transport and rent. Luxury products, however, including genuine designer goods, technology and some western food will probably be more expensive than in western countries. As a rapidly developing city, you can expect a lot of construction, congested roads and overcrowding in general. On the other hand, this does provide an area with a sense of positive momentum, optimism and energy. If it's anything like Wuhan, which I guess it is, the air quality will occasionally be poor. Nevertheless, pollution, much like the climate there, is not as bad as many people like to claim.
