Hi, I am currently working in Saudi Arabia and recently got a job offer from one of the companies in Qatar. I have been granted Engineer Visa (on arrival). I need help on the following clarifications: 1) I am planning to go to Italy & India before entering Qatar. Can I complete my medicals in Saudi Arabia itself? 2) I have got another job opportunity as well. Will I be granted a visa through this company just incase if I accept the offer? 3) Is Final Exit / NoC from Saudi Arabia required to enter into Qatar? Thanks RE

As far as I know, your medicals are done in Qatar upon arrival. Given that Qatar uses a sponsorship system, you are only permitted to work for your sponsoring company, unless they give you authorisation.
Have a look at our Visas for Qatar and Work Permits for Qatar page. These give a good outline of the visa system and should address your queries in a bit more depth.
As for whether you can enter Qatar without having a final exit visa for Saudi Arabia, this is a bit uncertain, and it is a question that gets asked a lot.
I am doing some investigations into this, and will let you know what I find out for sure.
Best of luck,
Xavier
