Hi all, My daughter will be studying in International School of Kuala Lumpur and my work place is near KL sentral. I would please request advise for the best place to stay. Would prefer to stay near to the school and also walking distance to the train station, so that could travel by train to KL sentral daily. Prefer to stay in a gated community with security. Thanks.

Hi vinocolaco,

You should consider looking at housing options in Ampang where you will have good access to international schools and be close to the Metro. Bangsar and Pantai are also good options for expat families.

To read more take a look at the comprehensive Expat Arrival's page on Areas and Suburbs in Kuala Lumpur.

Good luck

I have stayed in KLCC for a month in Cendana, I love it so much as it is very closed to the twin towers, just 10 mins walking distance. so I have my dining and daily shopping at twin towers very often. I have my gym everyday as I love body building. because of residents in Cendana have special privileges, we can exclusive access to 5 star Renaissance hotel amenities by only paying 150RM. my apartment is linked to the renaissance hotel via a sky bridge to the hotel's swimming pool level. of coz it has a high level of security, let me know if you are interested, my tenant just moved out. you may check with the pics of it first

Hi, Vinod. By now you must have settled in KL. If you are looking for a low density, ground floor 3 room condo with good security near the diplomatic area in Taman Uthant area. This is a 7-10 minute walk to the MRT and there are International schools nearby. If you are a golfer and like the sea then I will be able to offer you a package. I am not an agent. I own these. If it sounds interesting to you then contact me via email or via mobile 0122299821. Thanks. Joe
