What sort of salary should I expect in Dubai?

I'm offered a secretarial position with 15000 AED salary, which equals 4000$. I'm offered medical insurance and housing. Is this salary enough to survive, enjoy life (moderately), and save (for my return to my country)? What can I do with such a salary?

Hi My company is moving me from my present location in Qatar to Dubai. Are you aware if my Qatar driving license can be transferred to a Dubai driving license or i need to go for a full fledged test. Thanks Ashim

In reg to the driving license question - Unfortunately, you will need an international one. You can only use the Qatari one on your tourist visa period...
