Hi im an Irish citizen and lived there until 2006 when I moved to Australia, I met and married a New Zealander and we are currently living in New Zealand. We want to move to Ireland next year to live and work but just wondering what visas he will need, also we have two young kids, do we need any visas for them, they both have Irish passports so I suspect they wont need a visa. I have looked on the Irish immigration website but its extremely confusing. TIA Ruth :)

Hi Ruth,

If your husband doesn't have EU citizenship then he will need to apply for a residence permit for stays longer than three month.

You can read more on the Visas for Ireland page.

Kind Regards
