Hi there

So I know you can take a bus, train or fly between Chinese cities, but what is the best way to travel in terms of price, comfortability and speed etc?

Thanks!

By train or plane.

China is so wild geographically so it varies case by case. If you travel from east to west or from north to south, it will take you four to five hours to take a plane, and obviously other options don't work in this case. While the high speed train is running very well these days, any distance within 1000km, you can choose to take the high speed train which will take you no more than 7 hours. And the train is always on time, clean and comfortable.

Hey everyone.

There are many ways to travel to get around China. China's train network is extensive and they offer a broad range of services.

Buses are less comfortable for long journeys. However, they are probably the most cost-effective method of transport in China.

If money isn't an issue, then your best bet would be to take a domestic flight - this is by far the best way to cover large distances.

Transport and Driving in China provide lots more information on getting around in the country.
