I am currently on a Spousal permit and i am staying in SA. i got a scholarship to study in Australia for a year... i want to know if my absentia to Austria for 2years will affect my visa even if i come back unexpired??

Are you on a life partner permit or spousal permit?

With all the changes that have taken place its hard to say for certain. I would therefore advise to contact an immigration practicioner or lawyer to get the latest information on your particular situation.
