Hello there. Planning to relocate to Dubai or Abu Dhabi for work. Am I allowed to sponsor my same sex spouse?

Hi sauga, homosexuality is illegal in the UAE and unfortunately you won't be able to sponsor your same sex partner's visa. You may also have trouble finding accommodation together, and certainly won't be able to show any public displays of affection. Unless the offer you've been given to work there is really fantastic, you may want to consider your options carefully whether the UAE is where you'd like to live - it may be a very difficult posting as you will not be able to live openly with your partner and enjoy the lifestyle you may be used to back home.
