Hi everyone

I'm hoping to move to Sweden for a new adventure at the end of this year and I need to know whether I can get a work permit once I'm there or if I have to find a job before I leave in order to get a work permit.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Hi Phil

The rules for work permits in Sweden depend on your country of origin. If you are an EU or EEA citizen then you don't need a work permit at all.

If your are not from an EU country then in most cases you will need to have secured employment in Sweden before you apply for a work permit.

Please see this page on Work permits for Sweden for more information on the rules and regulations.

The best of luck with your move to Sweden.
