Background

Nanfang International School is situated at the heart of Guangzhou’s city centre. It is easily accessible from nearby expat areas and therefore a popular choice with expat parents, among whom it enjoys a good reputation.

Facilities at the school are good and include dedicated art, music, science and technology rooms, classrooms with interactive whiteboards, various sport-specific courts and a senior study area with laptops. There is a variety of extra-curricular activities on offer, including school newspaper, school band, drama, yoga, taekwondo, soccer and basketball, among others. Students are also encouraged to participate in community service projects and numerous field trips throughout their school career.

Curriculum

The Primary Years Programme is taught until Year 6, while the IB Middle Years Programme is from Years 7 to 11, along with the Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10 and 11. The final two years consist of the IB Diploma Programme.
