Weather in Adelaide

Though the overall region of South Australia claims a Mediterranean climate, weather in Adelaide subscribes to more of a temperate climate. Due to its coastal location, the city enjoys a series of alternating land breezes and sea breezes that greatly influence average seasonal temperatures.

Summers are hot – maximum highs average around 85°F (30°C), and winters are mild, wet and marked by consistent rainfall, a fact crucial to the agricultural sector of the area – including the winelands. Temperatures don’t often drop below 60°F (15°C) in winter.
