Climate in Australia

By claire - Posted on 15 December 2009

One great thing about relocating to Australia is the climate – with more than 3,000 hours of sunshine a year and an annual average summer temperature of 84°F (29°C), what’s not to love about this country’s climate? The northern part of the country is the hottest by far with humid and wet conditions in summer, while in the southern regions summers are warm with occasional hot spells and mild nights. The winter months from June to August are mild and average temperatures hover around 56°F (13°C) for the country and rainfall is common in the south so pack some wellies and an umbrella!
