Weather in Sydney

Expats from frost-ridden countries will have to adjust to Sydney’s warm climate, which has more than 340 sunny days a year and which can see daytime temperatures during the summer months reaching as high as the mid-90s Fahrenheit (35°C). Winters can have a few warm and still days but it can also be wet and cold, with night-time temperatures dropping quite low (average minimum temperatures in winter drop to 47°F (9°C)).

Overall though, Sydney’s climate is very tolerable.

Beware of the potential for bushfires in the city’s surrounds during the summer month.
