Restaurants in Brussels

By claire - Posted on 01 December 2009

A melting pot of cultures and flavours, Brussels features not only the French culinary flair, but also that of the Dutch and German, creating somewhat of a taste sensation for those who love their food.

Seafood, especially mussels, is popular in Belgian cuisine and it’s not uncommon to find plenty of seafood on Brussels menus, while the beer flows freely and is used in many dishes too. Belgian waffles and chocolate are world-renowned and is not to be missed!

Most of Brussels’ restaurants are sprinkled generously across the city and wherever you are you’re sure to find an eatery to suit your tastes. The de Broukére district is the place to head for trendier, more upmarket restaurants, while The Grand Place is always a good place to dine and watch the world go by. A service charge is included in the bill but great service is often rewarded.
