Safety in Belgium

By Anonymous - Posted on 01 December 2009

Belgium Police on motorcyclesBelgium has a relatively low crime rate with only the usual petty crimes, such as mugging and pickpocketing occurring in the cities. Property crimes are rare and expats will generally feel very safe within their apartments or homes. The EU and NATO headquarters are located in Brussels and residents should be aware of the risk of these organisations becoming targets for indiscriminate terrorist attacks.
