Boasting a tropical marine climate, the weather in the Cayman Islands is warm year-round. Temperatures rarely drop below 70°F (25°C), and there are two main seasons: dry and wet.

The dry season is from November to April (winter), while the wet season is from May to October (summer). Dry season temperatures are slightly milder. It is the most popular season on the islands because of the hot, sunny weather, but the humidity can be overwhelming, and some find the heat oppressive.

Few people come in the rainy season, as possible hurricanes are a further deterrent during this time. Temperatures during this time of year are often well above 90°F (30°C). Thunderstorms, tropical rains and hurricanes may occur from around June or July. Storm warning systems are in place, so expats should keep an eye on the news during hurricane season and follow any directives issued.
