*As will likely be the case with many aspects of life in China, expats may need some time to get used to the strange public holiday schedule in the nation. Essentially, large blocks of time-off is allotted by the government (the official public holidays are announced in December of the previous year), but in exchange, workers may need to work part or all of the weekend before or after the public holiday time.
