What's on in Shanghai

There are some great annual events that have help put Shanghai on the map:

Moon Festival (September)
Held every autumn, this popular Chinese festival marks the end of the harvest season with the making and eating of Moon Cakes. Houses are brightly decorated with animal shaped lanterns and the evening is spent moon gazing with close family and friends.

Shanghai Tourism Festival (September/October)
The Shanghai Tourism Festival is a fabulous way for expats who have recently located to Shanghai to discover all this city has to offer and to learn about its culture and history. The event showcases the magnificence of the Chinese country and its people through cultural activities like Chinese cooking classes and bicycle tours.

China Shanghai International Arts Festival (October to November)
Art aficionados in Shanghai should not miss the annual month-long China Shanghai International Arts Festival where everything from symphony orchestras and drama, to acrobatics and dance and even magic is showcased in over 150 performances.
