Weather in China

Expats who know their geography will know that China covers extensive territory and the weather therefore differs from region to region.

The southeast can be very wet with high temperatures all year round; in the central Yangtze and Huaihe River valleys, extreme temperatures can be experienced with hot summers and very cold wet winters. The north is dry and experiences a sunny summer and very long and cold winters, while the coast is humid. Expats residing here should prepare themselves for the chance of monsoons during the summer.
