Frankfurt is a friendly city brimming with wonderful attractions and activities for people of all persuasions. Expats will love the the relaxed way of life and the renewed energy that comes with the centre's devotion to a healthy, clean-living lifestyle.

Though known primarily for its banking industry, Frankfurt can also claim fabulous shopping opportunities, a vibrant nightlife and top-notch restaurants. It features good entertainment venues, world-class sports facilities, luxurious spas and highly anticipated annual events.

The Zeil is a large street where expats will be able to find all the biggest stores and shopping centres, perfect for clothes shopping, while the Apfelwein district in Sachsenhause is the place to find traditional German buys and Goethestrasse sells all the top-end designer goods and is jam-packed with jewellery stores. Schweizerstrasse has beautiful boutiques and independent stores aimed at a trendier clientele. Most shops are open from 10am to 10pom from Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.

With a multicultural population Frankfurt’s nightlife scene is full of every possible kind of entertainment, from casinos and upmarket bars and cocktail lounges to live music venues and dance clubs, Frankfurt’s got it all. Much of the city’s nightlife is centred around the north of the city in Fressgasse, Zeil and Römerberg, and Sachsenhausen is a good place to find Latin, Irish and local joints.
