Background

Established in 1993, International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) is the first IB World School in Vietnam. ISHCMC provides the International Baccalaureate with a culturally diverse perspective to students aged two to 18 years. 

ISHCMC is a vibrant co-educational school of more than 1,400 students representing over 60 nationalities and providing a unique learning experience from Early Years through to Grade 12.

Curriculum

“As one of the few IB Continuum schools in Vietnam, ISHCMC offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Through the IB curriculum, students gain knowledge and construct an understanding of their world through personalised learning experiences and inquiries that develop a deep understanding of important concepts in global contexts.

Location

“Both our Primary and Secondary campuses are conveniently located in one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most charming neighbourhoods, Thao Dien. With both of our campuses only a short drive away, our location means that families with children in different age groups don’t need to worry about long commutes.

“Thao Dien is a ward in District 2 situated only 15 minutes from the historic Saigon city centre. While close to the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the neighbourhood does not exhibit the hustle and bustle of other districts. Fees

For the 2023/2024 school year, annual fees range from VND 255,400,000 for Early Explorers and up to VND 923,600,000 for Grade 12. There is also an admissions fee of VND 25,000,000 for Early Explorer to Kindergarten and VND 50,000,000 for Grades 1 to 12.

This fee covers the costs of administrative procedures necessary for processing student applications, including student interviews, English language testing (if required), reviewing academic history, placement in grades and classes and allocation of subjects and timetabling.
