Healthcare in Johannesburg

Viable public healthcare does not exist. It is therefore essential Expats contract a private healthcare provider or make provision for this in your remuneration package.

Johannesburg has several world class private hospitals with emergency ambulance and helicopter services. There are no infectious disease concerns and Johannesburg is not a malaria zone (although if visiting the game parks to the north you should take malaria prophylactics).
