Kids in Johannesburg

By claire - Posted on 15 December 2009

Not the first place your children would be excited about moving to, but tell them the tales of the nearby game reserves like the Kruger National Park, where lion and leopard hunt springboks and wildebeest and they’ll be thrilled. The city itself doesn’t offer much in the way of attractions, although kids will find plenty of cinemas and arcades to frequent, but a trip to Gold Reef City will have them excited, as will the promise of a weekend away at Sun City where the sun is always shining and kids can splash in the wave pools and enjoy the endless activities on offer. Take the kids to the Johannesburg Zoo to meet their favourite animals, and Unicorn Wish provides kids with pony rides, a garden of fairy and gnomes to explore and even candle making.
