Johannesburg enjoys a fairly mild and comfortable climate and expats will enjoy the favourable weather. During the summer months from October to April, heavy afternoon thunderstorms with downpours of rain that disappear as quickly as they arrive are very common, while winters are dry and very cold with frost even appearing at night.
