Getting around in Taipei
Taipei has an advanced and diversified public transport system that makes getting around the city easy for expats. Even day trips in and out of the city are feasible with Taiwan’s high speed trains. Spend Saturday at the hot springs in the mountains, the next day at the beach, and even pop down to the bottom of the island within mere hours.

Maps in English are easy to come by. However, beware that the Romanisation of Chinese words has resulted in the English names of many roads having two to three different spellings.
