What's on in Los Angeles
There are some great annual events that have put have Los Angeles on the map:
Academy Awards (Febraury)
There’s no bigger event in Tinsel Town than the annual Academy Awards and new residents of LA should head down to the Kodak Theater with the camera in hand to spot a glimpse of their favourite movie stars dressed up to the nines.
Doo Dah Parade (May)
This parade began as a parody of the Rose Parade where rules and regulations bound the event, but the Doo Dah Parade boasts a free-for-all attitude with no themes, no judges and no commercials and each year, thousands of marching groups and acts parade the streets doing anything they please in this humorous event.
Summer X-Games (July/August)
Expats who lovers extreme sports will be thrilled that the Summer X-Games takes place in LA every year. With everything from skateboarding and BMX to Moto X and climbing, the games are a hot event on the city’s social calendar and are not to be missed.
