Miami is a friendly and cosmopolitan city brimming with a wonderful attractions and activities for people of all persuasions. With high energy and a healthy, clean-living lifestyle, expats who relocate here might need to make a few adjustments to their way of life, but be prepared to splash out, as Miami is a playground for the rich and famous and can be very expensive. Miami is renowned for its shopping, nightlife and restaurants but it also features good entertainment venues, world-class sports facilities and spas.

With a plethora of boutiques, independent stores and shopping malls, expats in Miami looking for a little retail therapy will have a tough time figuring out where to begin. Head to the pedestrianised streets of Miami's Lincoln Road Mall, or The Falls where big name labels can be found. The Bal Harbour Shops are where all the elite stores such as Tiffany’s & Co. can be found, while the Bayside Marketplace on the waterfront makes a day of shopping feel like a holiday.

Famed for its vibrant nightlife and hot sultry nights, Miami has lots going on to offer new expat arrivals in the way of clubs, bars, trendy lounges and cocktail bars. Downtown Miami and Coconut Grove are popular hotspots where bars and nightclubs line the streets, while Greater Miami offers plenty of cabaret shows and performances. The Latin dance beat can be felt in the music at most dance clubs in Little Havana and those looking to dance the night away will have a great time doing so!
