The nightlife is lively, with plenty of variety. Atlas District is one of DC's newest and trendiest areas; other key areas for expat nighttime entertainment are Adams-Morgan; Dupont Circle along Connecticut Avenue, the Penn Quarter and Georgetown. Another popular area is the Penn Quarter and U Street NW between 9th and 18th streets. Here there are wine bars and lounge bars such as IndeBleu and Zengo or Willard, Sofitel Lafayette Square or the St. Regis. For a more laid-back scene check out Arlington Row for its excellent live music and comedy shows at the Warner Theatre.
Shopping is a key activity for the well-heeled in Washington DC.
