I am considering moving to Dubai and was wondering.. would I need to buy a car there or is public transport enough? And if I need to buy, where is the best place to get a used car?

There is public transport but not the best in my personal opinion. It's your call if you like to use it or you prefer your own car. As for classifieds sites, there are many options and many new sites emerging every day. I know of a specialised one only for cars, Sayartii.com (it means my car) I enjoy it because it's fast. There is also Dubizzle, the most famous one, but the prices are high and though they are on Instagram and post lots of cars for sale, you can't search them properly. Good luck surfing.

Good luck.
