The French School, established in 1997, is the only school to offer French-language and French-curriculum education in Guangzhou. The school is a non-profit institution run by a governing body of parents and teachers in partnership with the Association for French Teaching Abroad. All students from kindergarten onwards study English and Chinese in addition to their normal classes, and may opt for additional languages at senior level. The school relocated to a new campus in Tianhe, an accessible area in central Guangzhou popular with expats. There are after-school activities available throughout the week.
The school follows the French curriculum in partnership with the French Ministry of Education. All high school students are enrolled with the National Centre for Distance Education and graduates receive the French Baccalauréat.
The school is in Tianhe in central Guangzhou, an easy drive from nearby expat areas.
