What the school says
“At Hamelin-Laie International School we’re proud to be developing a new generation of curious, wise, ambitious young people who are motivated to succeed, no matter what path they take in life. We believe that education is about much more than just academic achievement.
“Our students are encouraged to think critically and develop creativity, resilience and confidence to make their mark on the world. This is done through our educational philosophy, which encourages students to be socially, emotionally and ethically aware.
“Hamelin-Laie International School is an international prestigious day and boarding school located in Barcelona, Spain. We’re proud to be a part of the Nord Anglia Education group: the world’s leading international school network. Our international community welcomes students from more than 40 nationalities.”
“Hamelin-Laie International School brings together an international curriculum with world-class learning opportunities and global experiences to create an outstanding educational experience. We are fully accredited to deliver the Spanish National curriculum along with the world-renowned IB Diploma Programme.
“Our students benefit from a trilingual learning programme. English is the official language of instruction, with both Spanish and Catalan embedded into the curriculum, ensuring students enjoy the full cultural experience of living in Spain and Barcelona.
“Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door at Hamelin-Laie. Students get to experience local and regional off-site trips and expeditions, which bring their education to life through real-world application.
“Our expeditions are designed to broaden our students’ perspectives and expose them to different cultures, people and ideas. Trips to Nord Anglia global and regional events and competitions will be a real benefit for our students, and allow them to develop their leadership capability. At the same time, they’ll make lifelong friendships with people from all over the world.”
Tuition fees for the 2023/2024 academic year range between EUR 10,250 and EUR 13,644 for the day school to EUR 38,000 for boarding.
As there are no application fees, parents can simply submit their applications to the school.

From the parents
“I couldn’t be more proud of the education my children received at Hamelin. The education and emotional support levels of the school are excellent! My son attended Hamelin from the very beginning at only 11 months until he graduated. I dropped him off one morning at nursery crawling and picked him up the same day, and he was taking his first steps! And because of the school, he has achieved so many successes!”
– Alicia, Alumni Parent
