Hi there

I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime after being offered a contract by a company in Hong Kong. I really want to make the most of it, but I also don't want to be too pushy and risk blowing the whole thing.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Anything will be appreciated.

Best wishes,

Kate

Hi Kate

There first bit of advice I can give is to make yourself familiar with the working environment in Hong Kong. For some help with this, see Working in Hong Kong and Doing Business in Hong Kong

While every country has its own quirks and customs, there are some general things you can do to improve your chances of getting the best package possible. We've just updated an article on expat contract negotiation, so I'd recommend having a look at that.

Hope everything works out.

Best,

Xavier
