I have been recently asked to move to HK by my employer. They are paying me HKD 15000. I will be accompanied by my wife and 2 kids(Not school going) with me. We can get adjusted in 1 BHK Flat. My office is in Po Chun Chambers, Des Voeux Road Central. Could someone please assist me with the total expenses, which I may incur. Also please suggest which place would be suitable to live.

Hi onlyvara

If your salary does not include a housing allowance, 15000HKD isn't much for a family of four to live on - in fact almost all your salary will go on rent! Take a look at the Expat Arrivals Cost of Living in Hong Kong page for more information about the price of accommodation and food in Hong Kong. I would suggest negotiating with your employer ofr an additional housing allowance.

The good news is tax in Hong Kong is famously low. See Banking and Taxes in Hong Kong for more information.

Hi Anonymous Since you are single and not paying for accommodation (which is by far the biggest expense in Hong Kong) - I think this is enough to live comfortably and even save a bit. But it depends on your lifestyle, so have a look at the Cost of Living page to see whether it will be enough for you.
