Hi there

I'm going to be visiting my sister, who recently had an op in Cyprus. I don't want to ask to use her car (I'm weird like that I guess), so I want to know how the public transport in Cyprus is, and whether it would be a good idea to hire a car.

Thank you!

Hi Jenny

The public transport in Cyprus is fairly good if you're in the cities, or are travelling between them. It starts becoming a bit less frequent and, depending on where you are, reliable in smaller towns and villages.

Also, note that the railway service hasn't worked for decades.

For more in depth info, check out our Transport and Driving in Cyprus page.

Let me know if you need to know anything else.

All the best,

Xavier
