Hi there

I live in Latvia (long story) and my sister who has been living in Cyprus for the last two years has to go in for an eye operation (even longer story). I know it isn't the biggest procedure in the world, but I can't help but be a little worried. How are the hospitals in Cyprus? She's saving to get out of there, but are the public hospitals good enough?

Any advice or comments would be appreciated!

Hi Jenny

You shouldn't have anything to worry about. The standard of healthcare in Cyprus is generally very high- some people actually go there on medical holidays.

Have a look at our healthcare in Cyprus page for more info on the system there.

Hope your sister recovers quickly.

Best,

Xavier
