Dubai Healthcare City, a large and recently-built complex of medical buildings and institutions, includes hospitals, clinics, teaching and research facilities, pharmacies and partnerships with Boston University and Harvard Medical School.
Healthcare is nearly free for UAE nationals and expatriate residents of Dubai, although many businesses will offer additional health insurance. Depending on the condition, specialised treatment is often best done in home countries. Most public hospitals in Dubai are of good quality although many expats choose private medical centres.
